Background:  

Prostate mucin antigen (PMA) is a mucin-like glycol-protein found in mucinous carcinoma of the prostate.  PMA has a high molecule weight and contains an O-linked oligosaccharide containing N-acetyl galactosamine.  PMA may be proven to be a useful tumour marker.

Application: Immuno-staining, Western blot
