Background:  

Cancers that derived from epithelium of the lung are called lung carcinoma.  Each year, lung carcinoma causes over one million of deaths worldwide.

Based on the size of cancer cells, lung carcinoma is grouped into two types: small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).  SCLC is strongly associated with smokers.  SCLC grows and metastases very fast and responds to surgical resection poorly.  NSCLS includes squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and large cell carcinoma.

Application: 

Fluorescence flow cytometry: Above is the histogram of N9 cells stained with 10mg/mL mAb clone CHALU2 and fluorescence labelled secondary antibody.  Black line represents the histogram of N9 cells stained with isotype control, mAb anti-TB 38Kd antigen clone B12F8 (Cat. NO.: MO-I40021D).
