Background:
Cancers that derived from epithelium of the lung are called lung carcinoma. Each year, lung carcinoma causes over one million of deaths worldwide.
Based on the size of cancer cells, lung carcinoma is grouped into two types: small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). SCLC is strongly associated with smokers. SCLC grows and metastases very fast and responds to surgical resection poorly. NSCLS includes squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and large cell carcinoma.
Application:
IHC: Figure below shows the IHC result with squamous cell lung carcinoma section using clone 3504.
The tissue section was treated by heat induced epitope retrieval before primary antibody was added. The secondary antibody was an HRP-labelled goat anti-mouse IgG antibody.
Indirect immunofluorescence assay
