Background:  

P24 is the 24KDa, non-glycosylated protein that forms the Core (Capisid) of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and other Lentiviruses in the Retroviridiae family.  P24 is expressed immediately after HIV infection and is detectable before host HIV antibody can be detected.  Hence, HIV p24 is currently the target for early diagnosis of HIV acute infection. 

Application: 

ELISA: In combination with anti-HIV-1 p24 capture antibody mAb clone 340 (Cat. No. MO-I40002D2), this HRP conjugated antibody can be used as a tracer antibody for HIV-1 p24 detection in sandwich ELISA.
