Species Reactivity: React with mouse CD4. Cross reaction with human T-cells was not found.

Formulation: Lyophilized from a solution in 0.01M PBS pH7.2

Reconstitution: Double distillated water is recommended to adjust the final concentration to 1.00 mg/mL.

Background: 

CD4 is a glycoprotein surface marker expressed by T helper cells, regulatory T cells and some memory T cells, B cells, monocytes, macrophage and dendritic cells.   CD4 assists the communication of T-cells with antigen presentation cells by binding to MHC class II on the surface of antigen presenting cells. CD4 also arguments T cell activation by associating with T cell receptor and assisting signal transduction through its intra-celluar domain.   Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) inhibits immunity by entering lymphocytes through CD4 receptor and destroying these cells.
